The Patient Experience star rating produced by CMS and used in this report is based on the results of a survey (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) that is administered to adult patients across medical conditions between 48 hours and six weeks after discharge and is not restricted to Medicare beneficiaries. The Overall Hospital Quality star rating summarizes a variety of measures across seven areas of quality into a single star rating for each hospital. Hospitals report data to CMS through the Hospital Inpatient Quality Reporting (IQR) Program and the Hospital Outpatient Quality Reporting (OQR) Program. Visit the CMS website for more information about the star ratings.
